The only snag: the standard power output is too high for a graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance restrictions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance restrictions. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery. Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a demanding development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no interventions in the electronics are necessary. The power, performances restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
