Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performances weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restrictions. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous throttle plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new drivers had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors operate mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
