Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the graduated licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be reduced to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a component certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there's a significant development and measurement effort involved, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes unassuming throttle restrictors and throttle stop limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performances restriction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle restrictors in the intake tract, or with throttle stop limiters.
