Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought down to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery as unchanged as possible.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and metrological effort, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new license holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. alpha Technik offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today due to its extensive range, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary.
