Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 licence, your dream motorcycle spotted at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be it! Slight snag: the standard power is too high for the stepped licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as emissions, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unaltered preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, the development and measurement effort is considerable, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restriction plates and throttle restrictors.

25 kW Restriction Kits:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its wide range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restriction kits function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restriction plates in the intake tract or with throttle restrictors.
