Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you’ve seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated driving licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performances reductions, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more attractive to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much know-how goes into the development of power, performances reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogenous power, performances delivery, as unchanged as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it's a significant development and metrological effort, which isn't immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence ordinance, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 driving licence holders. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no modifications to the electronics are necessary. The power, performances reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract or with throttle stops.
