Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen the dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor - this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the progressive licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performances restrictions, the motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik's restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances weight of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the production vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust gas, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the greatest possible unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances development.
When all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it is a high development and measurement effort that is not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performances restriction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
