Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 licence, you've seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 motorcycle licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the standard vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining the optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible. Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, there is a high level of development and measurement effort involved, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW Restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive product range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors function mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction occurs through the installation of specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
