Proudly holding your motorcycle A2 driving licence, you've spotted your dream motorbike at the dealer, distributor – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output is too high for the graduated licence. Is the dream over? On the contrary, with alpha Technik power, performance power reduction kits, your motorcycle dream instantly becomes reality!

With alpha Technik power reduction kits, motorbikes of all power, performance classes become more appealing to the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adjusted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performance power reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance power delivery as much as possible.
Once all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves a high level of development and measurement effort, which is not immediately apparent from the sometimes inconspicuous throttle restrictors and throttle travel limiters.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation, which came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to manage with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can consequently be used by A2 licence holders. All 25 kW restrictors work mechanically; no electronic intervention is necessary. The power, performance power reduction is achieved by installing specially designed throttle plates in the intake tract, or with throttle travel limiters.
