General Description
This exhaust, crafted from race-proven materials, is made from high-quality, lightweight titanium and features a handcrafted carbon fibre end cap. The dual-flow muffler/silencer with a coated outer sleeve and engraved Akrapovič logo features a specially profiled surface for added strength and durability.The lightweight materials result in a 35% (1.5 kg) weight reduction compared to the standard exhaust system. power, performance and torque have been increased by 0.5 kW (0.7 hp) at 7700 rpm and by 1.1 Nm at 2500 rpm, respectively, compared to a BMW R 1300 RT with a standard exhaust, as measured on Akrapovič's in-house dyno.
The system delivers a rich and full sound. The engineers' goal was to maintain a sound level that does not detract from riding enjoyment on longer tours. This product has EC/ECE type approval and is compatible with BMW motorcycle side panniers. Thanks to its plug-and-play installation, no remapping is required.
