General description
This exhaust has been completely redeveloped from the ground up and manufactured from lightweight, race-proven materials. An outer muffler/silencer sleeve, a carbon fibre heat shield and clamp, a titanium end cap, a stainless steel header, resonator and link pipe, and a black-coated aluminium muffler/silencer bracket result in a weight saving of 39.6% (3.2 kg) compared to the standard exhaust. The alternative routing of the exhaust on the right side of the machine (the standard version runs under the motorcycle) provides a more race-oriented look, and the carbon fibre heat shield offers protection from heat and an attractive finish. Compared to a Suzuki GSX-8S equipped with the standard exhaust system, the exhaust offers an increase in power, performance and torque of 4.7 kW (6.4 hp) at 9,200 rpm and 4.7 Nm at 7,650 rpm respectively, when tested on the Akrapovič dyno.The exhaust features a resonator in the link pipe, which provides the rider with a unique sound experience with a racy and lively tone, without compromising power, performance.
This exhaust system is compatible with the original Suzuki side pannier set.
When installing the Racing Line (Carbon) exhaust system, the engine warning light will be displayed, therefore, an ECU re-mapping is required.
