General Description

Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 4 and Euro 5 motorcycles:
With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance weight of 0.2kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power, performance restriction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.

From the very beginning, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for the new Euro 4 and Euro 5 vehicles according to currently valid guidelines. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have been offering you and your customers reliable technology at the highest level at an affordable price.

The latest version makes restriction for 'ride by wire' vehicles even easier, faster, and more comfortable. These vehicles can now be reliably reduced to 35 kW without the previously used additional throttle plates (*). The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.

The redundancy required by law is naturally met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is quicker and very easy to carry out.
A big advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the rotation angle at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 4 and Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional throttle plates remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle valves.
