Proudly holding the motorcycle A2 driving licence, seen your dream motorcycle at the dealer, distributor dealer – this machine HAS to be yours! Small catch: the standard power output for the stepped licence is too high. Dream over? On the contrary, because with alpha Technik power, performance reduction kits, your motorcycle dream immediately becomes a reality!

With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be adapted to the required power, performance of 25 kW or 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the original power output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on the one hand, statutory regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, maintaining optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.
If all requirements are met, a parts certificate is issued by the technical service. Until then, it involves extensive development and measurement efforts, which are not immediately apparent in the sometimes inconspicuous restrictor plates and throttle stops.

25 kW restrictions:
Before the new driving licence regulation came into force in spring 2013, new licence holders had to make do with 25 kW for 2 years. Due to its extensive range, alpha Technik still offers numerous 25 kW restriction kits today, which can therefore be used by holders of the A2 driving licence. All 25 kW restrictions work mechanically; no intervention in the electronics is necessary. The power, performance reduction is achieved by installing specially designed restrictor plates in the intake tract, or with throttle stops.
