General description

The combined brake master cylinder for the rear wheel brake was developed so that both a master cylinder on the handlebar (whether thumb or pull brake) and the foot brake can be used for the rear wheel. This is often already required by regulations. The foot brake must remain in place, but an additional hand-operated master cylinder is permitted.

The new combined brake master cylinder has two ports:
1) M12x1.00 thread for the master cylinder from the handlebar (e.g. thumb brake master cylinder)
2) M10x1.00 thread for the line that goes to the rear brake caliper

How does it work?
Quite simply, the master cylinder on the handlebar can be actuated as long as the combined brake master cylinder is not pressed. The pressure is routed directly through the combined brake master cylinder to the rear brake caliper.

If the handlebar master cylinder is pressed, the combined brake master cylinder can also be activated. In principle, the two master cylinders are arranged in series.

If the combined brake master cylinder is pressed, you can press the master cylinder on the handlebar as much as you want. Nothing will happen because the input (M12x1.00) from the piston in the combined brake master cylinder is "closed off".

Note: HEL Performance brake master cylinders and brake calipers are not suitable for use with Castrol brake fluid SRF Racing! The use of this brake fluid may lead to defect seales.
