General description

The catalyst is a metallic honeycomb structure containing precious metals (palladium, rhodium, and platinum) on its surface. These metals convert toxic carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbons in exhaust gases into non-toxic carbon dioxide and water vapour.
