General Description

Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 5 motorcycles:
With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more interesting for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be brought to the required power, performance of 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and double the output power of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A lot of know-how goes into the development of power reduction. Essential factors must be taken into account: on the one hand, legal requirements such as exhaust, noise and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the most unaltered preservation possible of optimal rideability and homogeneous power delivery.

From the outset, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power modifications for the new Euro 5 vehicles according to currently valid directives. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have offered you and your customers reliable technology at the highest level at an affordable price.

The latest version makes restriction for vehicles with “Ride by Wire” even easier, faster and more convenient. These vehicles can now be absolutely safely reduced to 35 kW without the additional throttle restrictors (*) previously used. The newly developed control technology of the modules always ensures the correct ratio of gas and air.

The redundancy required by the legislator is of course met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to implement.
A major advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracketisation of the rotation angle at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional throttle restrictors remain an indispensable component for the correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply, but fully open throttle valves.
