The carbon ignition lock cover in a glossy finish for the Ducati Monster 1200 / 1200 S from model 2017 replaces the original component using the original mounting points.The focus is on weight savings (typically around 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity. The carbon part was manufactured entirely from prepreg (see FAQ) material in an autoclave according to the latest guidelines and then, as is customary for us, coated with a clear plastic finish to protect against environmental influences. This plastic finish significantly surpasses the usual clear lacquer coating in terms of protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability. But the coating not only excels technically; it also clearly accentuates the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
