General Description

CLU - the link between street and racing. This high-performance shock absorber is dedicated to street and sport motorcycles. This is a gas-pressure-assisted shock absorber with a separating piston for oil/nitrogen in the balance tank, a Ø16mm piston rod with anti-friction coating, and a friction-optimised bushing. The lower and upper mounting are made of an aluminium alloy, as used in aerospace – precisely CNC machined. The setting of the spring preload is hydraulic and can be done either manually or with a 14 mm HH screw.

The balance tank is separate from the housing to allow for better positioning on the vehicle and to optimise the cooling of the hydraulic oil. They are connected by a flexible, steel-braided hose. The shock absorber improves feedback from the bike and increases grip and comfort.

The last digit in the shock absorber's designation indicates the colour of the spring: “1” stands for a red spring, while shock absorbers ending with “2” have a black spring. For example, the shock absorber “CLU11” has a red spring, and “CLU12” consequently has a black one.
