The Kit S was developed to reduce fork friction. The easy sliding of the fork is absolutely necessary during brakeing, as the forces involved can twist the fork tube due to exponentially increasing friction.An original fork equipped with Kit S is consistently smoother and provides the rider with improved feedback on the front wheel during hard brakeing and corner entry.Sliding vs. Stiction:
The KIT S significantly reduces the "sticking" of surfaces during high breakaway moments and at the point of initial force application, allowing the fork to react faster and more finely.
Kit S contains
A pair of plain bearings for the outer tube of the fork with a special anti-friction coating. These bushings are each embedded in a ring made of 7075 aluminium, calibrated in dimension to create a perfect interaction between piston and fork leg.
A pair of seals between the piston rod and closure piece, with innovative sealing edges and processing for self-lubrication, which greatly reduces friction.
