General description
Kit S was developed to reduce fork friction. The smooth sliding of the fork is absolutely essential during brakeing, as the forces involved, due to exponentially increasing friction, can cause the fork tube to twist. An original fork equipped with Kit S is consistently smoother and provides the rider with improved feedback on the front wheel during hard brakeing and corner entry.Sliding vs. Stiction:
The KIT S significantly reduces "sticking" of surfaces at high breakaway moments and at the point of initial force application, allowing the fork to react faster and more precisely.
Kit S includes
A pair of slide bushes for the outer tube of the fork with a special anti-friction coating. These bushings are each embedded in a ring made of 7075 aluminium, which is dimensionally calibrated to ensure perfect interaction between the piston and fork leg.
A pair of seals between the piston rod and sealing plug, with new sealing lips and innovative self-lubricating processing, which significantly reduces friction.
