General Description

Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 5 motorcycles:
With alpha Technik's restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for motorcycle riders, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and twice the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Extensive know-how goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the greatest possible preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery.

From the outset, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for new Euro 5 vehicles according to currently valid guidelines. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have been offering you and your customers reliable technology of the highest standard at an affordable price.

The latest version makes restriction for "ride-by-wire" vehicles even easier, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be reliably restricted to 35 kW without the previously used additional throttle plates (*).
The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct gas-to-air ratio at all times.

The redundancy required by law is naturally met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is quicker and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR restriction for bikers remains the full number-plate bracket of the throttle angle at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional throttle plates remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition – preventing leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle valves.
