Rivet link 520 OGeneral Description
Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with O-rings) which are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus for heavily loaded and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip-type master link, proper, permanent, non-detachable riveting is the safer option.All ENUMA® o-ring and Quadra-X-Ring-chains designed for high-performance motorcycles also include the exact matching rivet link for the chain.
Note:
There are two different versions of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. Special tools are required for the proper riveting of both types!
While hollow rivet pins are flared with a punch after the outer plate is fitted for securement, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After the solid rivet pins of the master link have been properly and professionally riveted, you will no longer see any difference from the surrounding chain links.
ENUMA® DEX chains are exclusively supplied with hollow rivet links. All other chains include solid rivet links.
