Rivet link EK 630 SROGeneral description
Rivet link:Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with O-rings) which are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, meaning heavily stressed and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, proper permanent insoluble riveting is the safer option.
Note on rivet links:
There are two different types of rivet links available on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. For both types, special tools are required for proper riveting!
While the hollow rivet pins are flared out with a punch after fitting the outer plate for security, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After the proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer notice any difference from the surrounding chain links.
