Rivet link 530 OGeneral Description
Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with rubber rings) that are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus for heavily stressed and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, a proper, permanent, non-detachable riveting is the safer option.All ENUMA® o-ring- and Quadra-X-Ring-chains designed for high-performance motorcycles also include the precisely matching rivet link for the chain.
Note:
There are two different types of rivet links on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. For both types, special tools are required for proper riveting!
While hollow rivet pins are spread with a mandrel for securing after placing the outer plate, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the link, you will no longer see any difference compared to the surrounding chain links.
ENUMA® DEX chains are supplied exclusively with hollow rivet links. All other chains contain solid rivet links.
