Rivet link 415 HGeneral Description
Nowadays, most motorcycles are supplied with endless chains (unsealed or sealed with rubber rings) which are permanently closed at the factory with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, meaning highly stressed and fast-running chains. Unlike the clip link mentioned above, proper, permanent, non-detachable riveting is the safer option.All ENUMA® o-ring and Quadra-X-Ring chains, designed for high-performance motorcycles, also include the exactly matching rivet link for the chain.
Note:
There are two different types of rivet links available on the market – with hollow rivets or solid rivets. For proper riveting of both types, special tools are required!
While hollow rivet pins are splayed out with a punch after fitting the outer plate for securing, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer see any difference compared to the surrounding chain links.
ENUMA® DEX chains are exclusively supplied with hollow rivet links. All other chains include solid rivet links.
