General Description

The optional header (SS) is aimed at owners who want to improve power, performance and reduce weight on motorcycles already equipped with an Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Carbon) exhaust. The optional header (SS) is made from high-quality stainless steel and offers a weight saving of 53.5% (1.8 kg) compared to the stock header. The tubes have been developed with a larger diameter to allow for improved gas flow with fewer restrictions.

With the Slip-On Line (Carbon), power, performance increases by 1.6 kW (2.2 hp) at 9,500 rpm and torque by 3.5 Nm at 6,700 rpm compared to a Honda CB750 Hornet with a stock exhaust system, tested on Akrapovič’s in-house dyno. The optional exhaust header (SS) produces a deep, racing sound that fully encompasses the twin-cylinder engine and is easy to install via plug & play. It is a track-oriented part intended for use on closed race circuits only.

Fitting the optional header invalidates the EC/ECE certificate for the Slip-On Line (Carbon).

When fitting the Racing Line exhaust system to Euro5+ motorcycles (2 lambda sensors), the engine warning light will illuminate after a deviation in the parameters of the standard catalytic converter has been detected.
