Rivet link 520 HGeneral Description
Most motorcycles are now delivered with endless chains (non-sealed or sealed with O-rings) that are permanently closed ex-works with a rivet link. A rivet link is always used for high-performance vehicles, and thus for heavily loaded and fast-running chains. In contrast to the aforementioned clip link, proper permanent insoluble riveting is the safer option.All ENUMA® o-ring and Quadra-X-Ring chains designed for high-performance motorcycles also include the precisely matching rivet link for the chain.
Note:
There are two different types of rivet links on the market – with a hollow rivet or a solid rivet. Special tools are required for both types for proper riveting!
While the hollow rivet pins are flared with a punch after fitting the outer plate for securing, the tool simply flattens the head of solid rivet pins. After proper and professional riveting of the solid rivet pins of the master link, you will no longer see any difference compared to the surrounding chain links.
ENUMA® DEX chains are supplied exclusively with hollow rivet links. All other chains contain solid rivet links.
