With the new UP/DOWN SHIFT ASSIST ("Blipper"), Rapid Bike takes a remarkable step front thanks to another technological development.
In conjunction with Rapid Bike EVO and RACING modules, the new Blipper allows control of gear changes during upshifting and downshifting without having to operate the clutch.
This enables racing enthusiasts to achieve even shorter shift times without interrupting power delivery, thus providing greater riding safety and shaving a tenth of a second or two off lap times.
This shift assist was developed for vehicles with true Ride By Wire.
The electronics communicate with the EVO or RACING module via Rapid Bike's proprietary CAN-bus wiring harness, thereby controlling the shifting processes. The shift time and the required force to activate the shift can be individually adjusted in the Rapid Bike software or with the You Tune module, according to the rider's preference. The necessary injection adjustment during upshifting can even be set gear-selectively. Likewise, the duration of the speed increase during downshifting is adjustable.
The Blipper can be used with both normal and reverse shift patterns.
NOTE: Please note that a connection between the Rapid Bike EVO module and the computer must be established during the initial calibration. Further information on installation and number-plate bracket can be found in the instructions under the "Downloads" tab.
RAPID BIKE's latest technological revolution is an improved version of a popular accessory: the load sensor cell. The new quickshifter unit exchanges information with EVO and RACING modules via CAN-Bus to ensure highly accurate and timely kill-time, thanks to the engine being able to immediately pick up speed again after the shift operation is completed.
This represents a truly innovative solution based on self-learning technology, allowing the shift operation to be reduced to as little as 20 milliseconds while adapting to engine characteristics and riding style. The result is a seamless shifting procedure, increased riding comfort, safe gear changes, and reduced mechanical stress.
A universally applicable accessory that maintains flexibility when handling standard and reverse shift levers. This new element can also be used as a conventional quickshifter, retaining the option to adjust kill-timing with a wide range of options available through RAPID BIKE software.
The new RAPID BIKE load sensor cell can be further enhanced in combination with the YOUTUNE controller to adjust the pressure level in real-time for swift gear changes.
