General Description

XXZ Mono shock absorbers – the direct evolution from racing. Thanks to its versatile adjustment options, the Bitubo XXZ shock absorber is easy to adjust even when installed.

The development of this shock absorber culminates in an overall weight reduction through the use of an aluminium body – an important point to fine-tune handling to the rider's requirements. Furthermore, a new set-up has been developed to further focus the XXZ on racing performance. An upgrade for optimised performance and simplification of length and hydraulic spring preload adjustment has also been installed.

The aim is to offer the rider precise control and maximum grip, even at extreme lean angles or during rapid changes of direction, as well as even tire wear. It offers maximum confidence when accelerating on all street surfaces and perfect stability of the rear wheel, even under the hardest braking.

Innovation also reigns inside the shock absorber. With technically new solutions, the damping coefficient and stability at high temperatures are improved.
By using a piston rod with a 14 mm diameter, the sliding behaviour is improved, while the Ø30mm separating piston reduces uncontrolled movements of the hydraulic oil. These improvements lead to a reduction in inertial forces and thus enable immediate control of oscillating spring movements. Special attention has also been paid to improving and simplifying the adjustment options, which are now all located in the upper part of the shock absorber.
