General Description
This product has been developed exclusively for the BMW R 1300 GS and is based on years of experience with the BMW GS series and its boxer engines.A muffler/silencer with a dual-flow design made of lightweight titanium and a handmade carbon end cap ensures a weight saving of 9.3% compared to the standard equipment. The muffler/silencer has been developed for improved power, performance and improved sound damping to reduce environmental impact while producing a deep, full sound. A specially profiled surface of the muffler/silencer provides additional strength and durability and features an engraved logo.
power, performance and torque increase by 1.4 kW (1.9 hp) at 7,600 rpm and 4.5 Nm at 2,300 rpm. These values were determined on the Akrapovič test bench compared to a BMW R 1300 GS with the standard exhaust system. The system is EC/ECE type-approved, and no mapping is required due to the simple plug-and-play installation.
After installation, the system is fully compatible with BMW motorcycle panniers.
