The retro-classic Bonneville/Thruxton base models are characterised by exceptionally conservative chassis geometry, typical of that used in the 70s. These shallow steering head angles necessitate short trail values to achieve sufficient handling, but leave something to be desired in terms of high-speed performance. LSL addresses this with its Clubman triple clamp range. The triple clamps are not only stiffer and lighter, being milled from solid aluminium, but also offer more precise handling and better high-speed stability with reduced offset (distance from stanchion line to fork pivot point). With an additionally rear raised chassis (longer shock absorbers), the converted models gain genuine sport qualities. For conversion to stronger fork legs, the triple clamp kits are also available with 43mm bores or 50/54 for the use of an upside-down fork. The upper triple clamp is equipped for use with clip-on handlebars without clamps. However, by drilling out existing countersinks and using the designated clamps, a classic tube handlebar (of any cross-section) can also be fitted.

The triple clamp kit is supplied without a bearing tube. Repressing of the existing standard triple clamp will be carried out free of charge as a service by LSL in-house.
