The carbon rear hugger for the BMW S1000XR replaces the original part using the original mounting points. The rear part of the chain guard is already incorporated into this rear hugger, the original chain guard stays on the bike. We could extend the length of the rear hugger to improve the protection of the rear shock. This part is a direct replacement for the original component and contributes mainly to weight saving on the motorcycle (up to 70% less) and a higher stiffness of the parts. Like all of our carbon fibre parts, it was made according to the latest protocols and industry standards and can be considered to encompass all aspects of current 'best of industry' practice. The part is made completely out of pre-preg carbon fibre materials using an autoclave. As with all our carbon parts, we use a clear plastic coating that not only improves the appearance, but also protects the carbon fibre from scratching and has a unique UV resistance. Next to the 6,5" TFT Display the left cover near the instruments is always in the field of view of the driver. The single layers of the high tech material are perfectly aligned by experts to get a smooth fitting in the individual shape of the bike. The Picutre of the bike gets even more stunning, by every single part wich is added.
