General Description

Electronic restriction to 35 kW for Euro 5 motorcycles:
With alpha Technik's restrictor kits, motorcycles of all power, performance classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35 kW. However, special conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performance-to-weight ratio of 0.2 kW/kg and twice the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

Much expertise goes into the development of power, performance reduction. Essential factors must be considered: on one hand, legal regulations such as exhaust, noise, and power, performance measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other hand, the aim is to maintain optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performance delivery as unchanged as possible.

From the outset, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performance modifications for new Euro 5 vehicles according to currently valid guidelines. Since the launch of the protected MCR restrictor modules in 2016, we have offered you and your customers reliable technology of the highest standard at an affordable price.
The latest version makes restriction for "Ride by wire" vehicles even simpler, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be reliably restricted to 35 kW without the previously used additional restrictor plates (*). The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.

The redundancy required by the legislator is, of course, met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
Workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is faster and very easy to achieve.
A major advantage of the MCR restrictor for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the throttle grip rotation angle at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

(*) For Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables to the throttle bodies, the additional restrictor plates remain an indispensable component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle bodies.
