General Description

The latest generation power, performances restriction with Part Type Approval:
With alpha Technik restriction kits, motorcycles of all power, performances classes become more appealing for the motorcycle rider, as almost any desired model can be restricted to the required power, performance of 35kW. However, specific conditions apply to holders of the current A2 driving licence class. The power, performances-to-weight ratio of 0.2kW/kg and double the original output of the series vehicle must not be exceeded.

A great deal of expertise goes into developing power, performances restriction. Here, essential factors must be considered: on one side are the legal regulations, such as exhaust, noise, and power, performances measurements according to the latest EC directive. On the other side, the largely unchanged preservation of optimal rideability and homogeneous power, performances delivery.

From the outset, alpha Technik has shaped the development of power, performances modifications for new Euro 5 vehicles according to currently valid directives. Since the launch of the protected MCR restriction modules in 2016, we have offered you and your customers reliable, high-level technology at an affordable price.

The latest version makes restricting vehicles with "ride by wire" even easier, faster, and more convenient. These vehicles can now be safely restricted to 35 kW without the previously used additional restrictor plates (*). The newly developed control technology of the modules ensures the correct ratio of gas and air at all times.

The redundancy required by law is, of course, met, as is electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
The workshop time for installing the restriction is significantly reduced; installation is quicker and very easy to carry out.
A major advantage of the MCR restrictor for bikers remains the complete number-plate bracket of the rotation angle at the throttle twist grip – every movement towards full throttle provides propulsion!

With the introduction of Part Type Approval in 2025 and the discontinuation of part certificates from 2028, alpha Technik is already implementing the new, stricter approval procedure. Not only are new developments made to the required level of Part Type Approval, but existing part certificates are also being brought up to the standard of Part Type Approval.

(*) For Euro 5 vehicles with conventional throttle cables, additional restrictor plates remain an essential component for correct mixture composition – this prevents leaning out with reduced gas supply but fully open throttle valves.
